Family Day: Exercise, Reduce Carbon, and See More Benefits! The Taipei City Government (TPCG) will hold its 2024 Employee Family Day Event Opening Ceremony on August 2, 2024 (Friday). A total of 918 employees and their families from 322 families are expected to attend the event.
To strengthen the bond between employees and their children, and to help children understand and appreciate their parents’ daily work and efforts, TPCG will hold the Family Day Opening Ceremony at the 1/F lobby of Taipei City Hall on August 2, 2024 (Friday), starting at 8:30 AM. This year’s event expands into the “2024 Taipei City Government Employee Family Day Opening Ceremony and Sports Carnival,” combining sports and energy-saving elements. On the event day, the 2025 World Masters Games (WMG) Executive Office will kick off with a quiz activity, and the Department of Sports, TPCG, will host an energetic Family ZUMBA session. Following this, Taipei City Hall’s Non-Profit Kindergarten (managed by the Taipei Public Servants Association) will showcase a lively performance. The Mayor, employees, their children, and relatives will also have the chance to take photos with the popular WMG mascot, “Strong.” This event promises excitement and should not be missed.
The event will feature 10 booths. Participants who complete half of the booths will receive a limited edition children’s prize, and those who complete all the booths will receive an additional fun prize. Booth activities include “All-Round Sports King - The Return of the Sharpshooter and I Am the Batting King,” “Little Firefighter Dress-Up Experience,” “Fun Photo Booth,” “Healthy QQ Body,” “Dear Earth - Energy Saving and Carbon Reduction Series Booth,” and “Invoice Donation for Charity.” While enjoying family time, participants can engage in environmental protection and exercise for better health, responding to the nationwide sports initiative.
This year’s Family Day Opening Ceremony, integrating sports and energy-saving components, aims to provide parents and children with diverse life experiences. They can enjoy sports, participate in environmental efforts, and contribute to charity. The event also aims to help employees’ children and relatives better understand the city government’s work environment, appreciate their parents’ and family members’ hard work, and support them, thereby fostering family harmony and strengthening parent-child relationships through educational entertainment.
